Important notice

  • Are you fully aware of all the activities that you are going to undertake during the Tethys expedition? If you have any doubt, please read carefully the Briefieng Expedition information

  • The expeditions are for 18+ years old participants. Minors aged 13 – 15 are allowed if accompanied by a parent. Young participants aged 16 – 17 may be unaccompanied but a co-responsibility agreement must be signed by parents. Children younger that 13 will be considered on a case-by-case basis (Please contact our office). In any of the above cases a booking form for minors must be compiled.

  • The expedition requires to be in physical conditions that let you cope with the activities conducted aboard (see the Briefieng Expedition information for more info)

What is included

  • Food and beverages (breakfast, lunch and dinner, except for alcoholic and soft drinks) for the duration of the cruise, except for the dinner at a restaurant in town the day of the arrival

  • Accommodation on board

  • Mooring expenses in Sanremo Portosole harbour

  • Electricity, water heating and cooking costs

  • Fuel for boat and dinghy

  • Lectures and training by Tethys researchers

  • Scientific supervision

  • Certificate of participation in the Cetacean Sanctuary Research

  • Research contribution

What is not included

  • Travel expenses to and from San Remo

  • Mooring expenses outside of Portosole (approximately €80-100 per night, to be divided by all the crew with the exception of the skipper). It applies only occasionally

  • Personal expenses (telephone, souvenirs, etc.)

  • Soft drinks, liquors and spirits (beer, wine, etc.)
